OCTOBER
is Domestic Violence Awareness Month (DVAM)

It is a special time to reflect about a life lost,
a family broken, and a community hurt as a result of domestic violence.

During OCTOBER, please join us in celebrating the hope
which Women In Distress offers, the changed lives of survivors,
and the progress made towards a world where love doesn't hurt.

There are several commmunity events taking place in OCTOBER to commemorate DVAM. Visit the

website to learn of all the activities for this month.

FLWC will participate in the Women in Distress SafeWalk-Run on
Sunday, October 30.
We encourage our members to help meet our goal of $2000 to benefit Women in Distress by registering to walk or run with the
FLWC SafeWalk-Run Team
or by making a donation to the team's fundraising efforts at
SafeWalk-Run 2010
