The Fort Lauderdale Woman's Club, one of the 20 oldest buildings in Fort
Lauderdale, is located on the southeast corner of Broward Boulevard and Andrews Avenue at the very heart of downtown Fort Lauderdale. It has a large main room and a smaller anteroom, along with a kitchen and restrooms. Conveniently located across from the city parking garage, it's a great place for a wedding, birthday party, anniversary celebration, or reunion.
Designed by architect August Geiger and built in 1917, the Clubhouse is only 4 years away from its 100-year birthday. As a rental, it has the beauty of an historic building in
a setting that borders Stranahan Park and is next to the Main County Library. The grounds contain the
Club's new Butterfly Garden as well as a lovely garden landscape
design. The new renovation, which won two city awards for
design excellence, restored the front entrance to its original 1917
facade. It is beautiful and lends itself to photographs well worth taking.
The inside spacious gathering room with portrait windows on three
sides, can hold up to 203 persons with chair seating for more than 150.
A baby grand piano, circa 1960, has been used for concerts and recitals.
The Woman's Club, active for 102 years, still has meetings and events
there, but in keeping with its community service, offers the Clubhouse
at a reasonable rate to the community. The Club rental space is very
popular during the holidays, so if you wish to rent it, please call
promptly in order to avoid disappointment.
Phone 954-761-9407 for availability and leave a message. The Rentals Chairman will return your call as soon as possible.
